ReplyDeleteA title you might enjoy is Gil Marsh by A.C.E. Bauer. Gil is the most popular kid in school and is wary of new kid Enko. However, the two soon become inseparable. Suddenly, Enko succumbs to a tragic illness, and Gil must face his grief in this realistic coming of age story. Gil Marsh is also inspired by a classic tale (Gilgamesh) like The Tragedy Paper (Macbeth).
